Company Gives Net Users New Way to Listen to Music

An online marketing and technology solutions company is offering Internet users a new, easy way to listen to music on their computers.

Centale Inc. recently launched its Music on Demand program, a patent-pending algorithmic search online application that allows you to use Microsoft’s Windows Media Player as an instantaneous connection to search the Internet for millions of audio and video files and listen to or view them without having to take the time to download any files.

It has a high-tech look and performance and switch-skin technology that will appeal to the millions of people listening to and purchasing music via the Internet, said Patrick T. Parker, chief executive officer and chairman of the publicly traded company (OTC BB: CNTL).

The application has been approved by Microsoft as an official plug-in “power toy/utility” for the Windows Media Player.

“We believe our acceptance by Microsoft as an official plug-in validates our technology,” Parker said. “It will provide a substantial distribution channel for our Music on Demand and bring listening pleasure to millions of people worldwide.”

According to Nielsen//Net-

Ratings, more than 200 million Americans use the Internet. According to the Pew Internet & American Life Project, there are more than 500 million desktops in the U.S. Fifty-six percent of Internet users watch video clips or listen to audio clips; 34 percent listen to music at a Web site; and 25 percent download music files.

It is reported that 2.2 million people subscribe to digital music services, compared to 1.5 million estimated by IFPI’s Digital Music Report published in January. The industry expects this trend to continue as the crackdown on illegal digital music services increases.

In addition to its Music on Demand program, Centale’s product line includes the Catalyst EV direct-to-desktop marketing tool, customized browsers, instant messenger applications and screensavers.

Increase in music piracy in form of mp3 audio files that are being easily accessed and shared on the internet. These cause a cut down in the costs of original production of the sound track and are a major threat to future music.

future of pop music, future of the music industry, future music release, future of the music business, music future

Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don’t live it, it won’t come out of your horn. They teach you there’s a boundary line to music. But, man, there’s no boundary line to art. — Charlie Parker

Music is incredibly an important part of our day to day lives. Be it home, office or any place, the soothing sound and lyrics of an enchanting music track refreshes our whole day’s tiredness and stress. Music business is not the same as it used to be and it has changed many fold times. Future music, in the same way is going to be different from what we get today.

Entertainment in the beginning was in the form of song tracks distributed in plastic tape cassettes. Then CD’s were invented that provided much better quality of sound and was easily distributed. With the recent advent of MP3 which allows large data to be compressed without affecting the original melody of the music, it has really become the future of music business.

MP3 music has become so popular that now it is easily available through different websites. Consumer is now in a much better state to listen good quality music through mp3 downloads and songs as these cost much less than the other audio forms available. This at the same time has brought huge threat along with it, in the form of music piracy.

When a music company launches an album, it makes some copyright laws that disallow a third party to imitate or publish the same music record in any form. Since music could be easily downloaded and recorded in the form of Mp3 files, it is a main source of music piracy.

There are several laws being imposed making piracy an illegal act and fineable too. But threats still moves along with times as more and more Mp3 and forms of audio develop different methods to access music.

Fender Stratocaster history begins with the man some people call the king of surf music. Dick Dale is the man who some believe invented surf music as early as the 1950′s. No, it wasn’t the Beach Boys. It was Dick Dale.

He had the musical assistance of Leo Fender, inventor of the Fender Stratocaster. Part of early Fender Stratocaster history includes the story of Leo Fender’s gift to Dick Dale of a Fender Stratocaster to use in his live performances. He wanted Dick to try the Fender Stratocaster – and the rest is history, as the saying goes.

Did he try that guitar! The Fender Stratocaster history at that point was one of taking abuse and living through it, as Dale beat that guitar, hurling loud raucous music into the night, and destroying forty nine different amps until one actually caught on fire. Stratocaster history that night including the entertaining Dick Dale using the right handed guitar for left-handed play, playing upside down and created all new sounds.

Leo, Freddy Fender and Dale joined forces to find new, more tolerable speakers and this was the beginning of heavy metal Fender Stratocaster. They approached a company that made speakers and asked that they design a fifteen-inch Fender Stratocaster speaker. This made Fender Stratocaster speaker history.
Fender history included the fact that Dick Dale became the first person to take the quiet guitar player image and transform her or him into a loud heavy metal entertainer.

Included in this portion of Fender history was Guitar Player Magazine, who as a result now referred to Dick Dale as the father of heavy metal. Stratocaster history, then, is about the transition from quiet soothing singalong surf music to the heavy metal sound of the sixties.

houston dj, houston djs, houston wedding dj, dj in houston, djs in houston, houston disc jockey

If you’re planning a Houston wedding, you’ll confront the million-and-one decisions that all brides face. Who should you ask to be in your bridal party? Where will you find the perfect wedding dress? What do you need to pack for your honeymoon? In the process, it’s important to remember that the enjoyment of your guests is also your responsibility. To ensure that they have a wonderful time at your reception, you should select a professional wedding DJ in Houston who can take some of that responsibility off your shoulders. These simple guidelines will help you find the Houston disc jockey that is a perfect fit for your wedding.

Find the Right Houston Wedding DJ

Initially, the thought of having to find the right wedding DJ in Houston can be overwhelming. Take some time to cruise the Internet and locate DJs in Houston who specialize in weddings. Make a list and run the names by your caterer, photographer, and the manager of your reception venue. They should be familiar with Houston DJs and can help you narrow down your list.

Is it the Right Music for You?

Once you have narrowed the field, it’s time to start making calls. If you have a particular type of music you’d like played at your reception, check to see if he has that music available. Keep in mind, though, that your reception is likely to include guests ranging in age and musical preferences. A professional Houston DJ will have an eclectic mix of music that will get everyone to his or her feet. By all means, ensure that the songs you want are on his play list, but also realize that part of his job is to set the cadence for your reception. By starting your reception off with light music, your DJ will help to put everyone at ease. Through music, he’ll help to move the event along, from your first dance with your new husband, to the cutting of the wedding cake, the tossing of your bouquet, and the departure of you and the groom.

A Houston Wedding DJ Provides More than Music

When choosing from among DJs in Houston, remember that you not only want him to provide terrific musical entertainment, but also to act as an emcee. For that reason, you need to check out the DJ’s attitude, personality, promptness, and ability to please the wedding guests. The best way to ensure your wedding reception will be handled in a professional manner is to stop by another wedding reception and watch him in action. By seeing him perform, you will get to know his personality, the quality of his performance, and reaction he receives from the guests.

Important Things to Consider when Hiring a Wedding DJ

Before you sign a contract with a Houston wedding DJ, make sure that he has (or will get) the songs you would like played at your reception. Make sure that he accepts requests, as your guests will enjoy being able to dance to their favorite tunes.

Even if you don’t know much about sound equipment ask about it. A professional DJ in Houston should have top quality equipment and high-end professional lighting, both of which will make your reception more enjoyable for your guests.

If you don’t have the opportunity to watch him perform, be sure to ask the DJ what he will be wearing at your reception. Most Houston DJs wear tuxedos to weddings, but there are some who don’t. By discussing this with the DJ in advance, you’ll eliminate any problems or embarrassing moments on your big day.

Having the right Houston DJ will not only guarantee that your special day is well-organized, but will add to wonderful, lifelong memories.

It can be estimated that millions of people around the world share music over a file-sharing network. For this article, I am addressing the issue in America mainly because I am not aware of the laws in other countries. Do you think it is illegal to download music from file-sharing networks? What about music you already own? An important recent court decision will answer these questions directly and you might be surprised.

Recently the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit heard a case against a Chicago woman, Cecilia Gonzalez. Many plaintiffs including BMG, Sony and others brought the case against her. Gonzalez allegedly had downloaded over 1,000 songs through KaZaA-although she admitted to only 30. Keep that number in mind, 30. Many, if not just about all, people who download files over a file-sharing network don’t stop at one file. Thirty files can be reached in minutes to an hour without thought. In fact, it was alleged that Gonzalez downloaded 1,370 songs in just a few weeks, which is an average of 65 songs per day.

If you where caught downloading thirty songs over a file-sharing network, what would your defense be? Let’s look at two specific common defenses and see how a court might react. I have selected two defenses that I feel are most common, because they not only appear in the court case I have referenced, but many others I have surveyed would try to use them as their defense as well.

First Defense: I was simply trying out the songs to see if I liked them and then I planned to buy the ones I liked and erase the ones I don’t. (Simplified: try-before-you-buy)

Judge Eastbrook, one of the judges hearing the Gonzalez case, pointed out that this defense is not valid because one had many avenues to hear music before purchasing. Eastbrook names iTunes, radio, internet radio, Yahoo! Music and others as ways to legally try before buying. If this was going to be your defense, you will lose.

Second Defense: I am only downloading music that I already own.

This seems like a great defense, at first. You already own the music and the law allows you to create a backup copy. Ah, but here is where it goes south. Downloading music you already own is not considered fair use under the U.S. Copyright Law and your action is therefore copyright infringement. See UMG Recordings Inc. v. MP3.com, Inc., 92 F. Supp. 2d 349.

Furthermore, the try-before-you-buy scenario is really blown away by the fact that you no longer need to buy CD’s in whole. iTunes really helped change the legal arena in this respect because a user can both sample songs at their leisure and purchase single songs. The ability to purchase single songs is the big one.

In the end, Gonzalez lost her case. The thirty songs, that would have cost $29.70 at iTunes, will end up costing her $22,500 in damages-imagine what it would be if the plaintiffs had pushed for a decision on all 1,370 songs. She was given the opportunity to settle for $3,500 before going to court, which she declined-another bad decision. If you download music over file-sharing networks and are caught, what will be your legal defense?

Get mp3 converter and mp3 to wav facts. Discover how to convert mp3 files to CD and get ID3 tag mp3 editor tips on how to organize your online music file collection.

mp3,mp3 converter,mp3 to wav,ID3,mp3 tag,music,mp3 download,mp3 players,music download,free mp3,dmx mp3,free mp3 downloads,music downloads,mp3s,music

When downloading MP3 files online, usually you will quickly build up a large music collection. Keeping them on your computer is dicey because if your PC crashes all those music files could be lost.

MP3s, like all important computer data, needs to be backed up. However, instead of treating MP3 files like other computer files, many people prefer to convert their online music files into audio CDs. Converting MP3 files into CDs is a rather easy procedure.

Most CD burning software can do the conversion for you automatically. You simply build up your collection of MP3 songs and burn a CD. Before the CD is burned, the MP3s will be converted into Compact Disc Audio (CDA) files. This is done for you automatically with many CD burning programs, like Nero, but if you choose you can take more control of the CD burning process.

For instance, Nero has an easy audio editor that allows you to break up files and use filters such as equalization, noise reduction or stereo widening. If your CD burning software does not provide these extra features, you can continue to process the MP3 files before burning the CD. In this circumstance, you’ll need dedicated audio editing software. There are a variety of freeware and commercial programs available online to choose from.

When getting your MP3 files ready to burn to a CD, one of the most helpful editing functions you can do is to ‘normalize’ all of the files. Normalization is a process that smoothes out the differences in volume between different tracks – this ensures that your entire music CD will play at about the same loudness.

Once you have finished editing your files, you’ll need to save your MP3 files to WAV. Converting MP3 to WAV is necessary so that they can be burned to CD. More than likely, you will be burning your MP3s to a CD-R (Compact Disc Recordable). Newer model CD players can handle this type of CD, however, an older CD player may not be able to identify them.

Instead of converting MP3 files to audio CD, you can burn MP3s directly to CD in their original MP3 format. This will allow you to store a lot more music on one CD. Another advantage of MP3 CDs is that they can be played on many CD and DVD players and they can also be played in a computer CD-ROM.

A disadvantage of the MP3 CDs is that because there are so many songs on one disc it can be very difficult to find a particular song you want to listen to.

One way to solve this problem is to use them on a DVD player connected to your home theater system. Usually DVD players can handle MP3 CDs and will even display the tracks on the TV set. However, the filenames may be fixed to only eight characters, and therefore, you should give special attention beforehand about how to categorize your MP3s before burning to a CD.

Here are some tips on how to organize your MP3 music files:

1) Divide your songs into separate folders. You can choose a folder for each artist or a folder for each genre.

2) Always begin the filename with the name of the song instead of the artist. This prevents all of the file names being displayed exactly the same.

3) Be careful when naming your MP3 files and remember that it’s very easy to rename your files using MP3 tag editors. Today’s ID3 tag software is designed to rename MP3 files using a variety of criteria. To rename your entire music collection fast, simply check the option that puts the song title at the beginning of the filename.

Converting your MP3s into audio CDs is an easy process with the help of quality MP3 converter software and proper MP3 file organization skills. Good luck.

Over 30,000,000 individuals have purchased an iPod portable music device, and tens of millions of other consumers use one of dozens of other portable devices to listen to music. Other platforms for listening to music are equally successful, and in the case of Microsoft’s Windows Media Player even more dominant with over 90,000,000 systems running the software globally. Real Networks Rhapsody, and Yahoo! Music represent other major entrants in this space. In addition to those companies selling licensed music downloads for a fee, peer-to-peer networks such as Limewire and Morpheus claim to have tens of millions of users sharing music and other files on a continual basis.

As consumers have become comfortable purchasing (and stealing) music online, they are now beginning to download other digital forms of entertainment, including music videos, short-subject films, television shows, and even full-length Hollywood pictures. Traditional media companies have recognized the opportunity to establish new revenue streams and leverage old assets by enabling consumers to download television programming for a fee, and the adoption rate appears to match the early days of music downloading. The increasing penetration of broadband connections (over 50 million homes in the US), advances in software that enables high-quality downloads, and content companies recognizing an enormous opportunity to distribute directly and inexpensively to consumers has created a tidal shift in the number of digital media assets available for download to computers, handheld devices, and even cell phones.

Companies such as YouTube are at the forefront of the intersection of video entertainment and the fragmentation of media due to the empowerment of the consumer. Hundreds of millions of videos are downloaded weekly from YouTube (as well as dozens of competitors), and a significant portion of those videos are not “professionally?produced. More importantly, new talent in various entertainment fields are being discovered through these distribution platforms and forever changing how entertainment is conceived, produced, distributed, and valued.

You have wider options to compare different digital audio formats available such as the Mp3, AAC and WMA.

free download mp3 song, free mp3 player song, download free mp3 music song, free karaoke mp3 song, free legal mp3 song, free mp3 music song, free latest mp3 song, free kid mp3 song

If you are the one who loves music and also own a computer then Mp3 has transformed the way you listen music. If you are new to PC audio and you are wondering about the whole hype then you should know what exactly MP3 is and why it is so popular.

To save music to a computer without compression requires huge amount of memory, one minute of uncompressed CD audio occupies about 10 megabytes of hard drive space. MP3 was designed to save a space while retaining the sound quality and it does the job very well and compresses music to one tenth or less of the original file size and offers near CD quality sound. To do this, Mp3 discards some parts of the audio signal that it finds that listeners won’t miss. For many people, a slight degradation results in the reasonable trade off for the hard drive space that they gain. After the invention of MP3, a computer user can store lots of songs in one place and listen to them in any of the order they wish.

Mp3 gets into the competition
Today, Mp3 is no longer the only game in the town and when it comes to compressing audio for storage on your computer there are many codec s available such as AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) and WMA (Windows Media Audio).

Both of these new alternatives are perceptual coding schemes like the MP3 and they discard the audio information that they consider is least important to the sound quality. Many people even claim that these newer codec’s are superior to the Mp3.

The market today is full of portable MP3 players almost all of which are compatible with MP3. Most of them can also play WMA, some can handle AAC files. These players also decode and play back all files directly from their original file format but some other come with other software that transcodes files into a separate format. But in any of the case, the quality of sound that reaches your ears depends upon various other things and the most important one is the codec you used to save the music to your hard drive in the first place.

HD Radio is a new technology that does for braodcast radio what HDTV does for broadcast televison. HD AM radio sounds as good as FM today and HD FM sounds almost like listening to a CD. Read more about this amazing new technology….

HD radio, AM radio, FM radio, digital radio, digital broadcasst radio, free radio, digital DAB radio, better radio

HD Radio technology is the next big thing because it makes it makes FM stations sound nearly as good as if you were listening to a CD. The sound is just amazing ?clean, pure and crystal-clear. It even enables AM stations to sound as good as an FM station today.

Let’s pretend you’re a sports talk radio fan. Just imagine how much better your experience will be when there’s no distortion, no annoying hiss, crackle, fade or static. It will be just like listening to your favorite AM station broadcast in FM.

And if music is your thing, you’ll love HD Radio technology even more because you’ll be able to hear music on your favorite classic or rock station in the clearest, cleanest, purest form ever available over the airways and, best of all, it’s free. All you have to do is buy a new radio.

In fact, this technology even makes it possible for your local stations to broadcast in true 5.1 surround sound. Just imagine that. You turn on your favorite music station and you are immediately surrounded by sound — just as if you were sitting in your favorite concert hall.

HD Radio technology also makes possible something called multicasting that allows stations to broadcast two or more different signals simultaneously. So, your favorite oldies stations could be broadcasting music from the ?0s, ?0s and ?0s ?all at the same time!

More than 500 stations are already broadcasting in HD Radio technology. And HD radios are available for both the home and car.

So far, radio stations have not done much publicity on this exciting, new form of broadcasting but you can bet that will be changing in the near future.
